Key role and responsibilities for this Technician role are:

* Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard

* Effectively record details of diagnosis, work completed, and components utilised in line with group and manufacturer standards

Repair & Maintenance Contract Manager

Hours: Mon to Friday 37.5 hours 8.30 – 17:00 – 1 hour for lunch

Plus Month End Saturday

Job Role

* Overview and collate service dept KPIs such as:
* MOT performance
* Updating of daily VOR log
* Vehicle compliance register
* Issuing of order numbers and authorising work to vehicles on contracts.
* Needs the ability to understand work being carried out and determine if necessary, priced correctly etc also to identify repeat repairs and ensure if due to workshop error then contracts do not stand cost
* Review budget spend per vehicle (as set up in contract) and review spend against budget and manage accordingly, warn where contracts in distress (i.e. cost greater than income) and assist in managing
* Setting up contracts on the system. Dealing with suppliers/repairers – both our own workshops and external suppliers, and issue order numbers and deal with purchase ledger invoices
* Issuing sales ledger invoices for vehicles on contract

Experience required:

* Strong administrative background
* Technical knowledge of commercial vehicles strongly preferred
* Commercial experience of running vehicles strongly preferred (e.g. fleet manager etc)
* Ideally you will come from a commercial vehicle dealership background or within the automotive trade.
* Ability to work alone and part of a team and to ensure get results

LCV / HGV Technician

Salary: £28,000 – 34,000 (Depending on experience)

Location: Bournemouth / Poole / Dorset

Skills & Experience

As a Technician, the successful applicant will have

* Experience as either a Van or HGV Technician – essential.
* Formally qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent (May consider time served)
* HGV class 1 or 2 licenses would be added benefit
* Have tools
* UK Driving licence

Hours:

* Monday to Friday rotating shifts of 0700-1530 / 1530-2330.
* Alternate Saturday mornings which are paid at overtime rate
* There is plenty of overtime available which is also paid at a higher rate

What’s on offer?

* Depending on the level of your experience you can expect to earn between £23,000-£29,000 per year for working a 40-hour week.
* Additional £20 per late shift worked (£2600PA)
* Additional £2145 – £2681 for Saturdays
* All overtime and any Saturday hours are paid at an x1.5 rate.

* 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
